A few hidden, rarely-needed tools — and how to reach them

← Log It All Support

Log It All keeps three optional tools tucked away out of sight. Most people will never need them — they exist for uncommon situations, mostly around iCloud sync. This page explains what each one does, when it might help, and exactly how to open them.

How to open them

They live behind a hidden gesture so they can’t be triggered by accident:

A small menu appears with the three tools below.

Not sure which one you need? Please email us before running either repair tool and we’ll walk you through it. They’re designed to be safe, but they’re last-resort tools — a quick message saves guesswork.

1. Export Diagnostics Log Safe

What it does: saves a plain-text log of the app’s recent activity (sync events and data snapshots) to a file you can share.

When to use it: this is the safe first step whenever something seems off. Export the log and email it to us — it helps us see what happened and point you to the right fix.

Is it safe? Completely. It only reads and exports information; it changes nothing in your data.

2. Clean Up Duplicates Advanced

What it does: finds duplicate categories and event types and merges them into one, and removes duplicate or stranded log entries — leaving a single clean copy of each.

When to use it: if you ever see the same category, event, or entry appear twice. This most often follows turning iCloud sync on, or importing/restoring data.

Before you run it:

3. Fix Stuck iCloud Sync Advanced

What it does: backs up your data, rebuilds the app’s local storage to clear a stuck sync state, restores your data, and re-uploads it fresh. It will ask you to fully close and reopen the app to finish.

When to use it: only if data has stopped syncing between your devices — usually after the iCloud copy was deleted (in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage) while the app was still installed.

Before you run it:

Still stuck?

Email us with your device model, iOS version, and a short description of what happened — and, if you can, attach the diagnostics log from tool 1.
